BILLY
--------------------------------------------
Billy boy the dog everyone mistakes for a badger has found himself dumped too and with us now to find a home. Badger sorry I mean Billy is perhaps the happiest dog at Dun Roamin, even when it rains this chap can be found smiling! Billy has a very chirpy personality and is a great character to boost mural! Currently this chubby man is on a diet as he is a little porker and perhaps has been on bad diet with no exercise, but believe me when this little man runs......he runs! How can you be so happy sweetheart when you have been dumped in a rescue? How can you be so grateful for 2 minutes fuss when clearly the last hand to have held you hurt you?
LOLA :)
--------------------------------------------
LOLA has today been saved from ´death row´ via another organisation after being found as a stray. Lola was never claimed back even after finding her previous owners. So as promised to always help dogs where and when we can LOLA is this week a very lucky young lady. A healthy comical young lady close to having her life ended as landed a place with DRRH in the quest to find caring loving and experienced owners.
BOYCIE!
--------------------------------------------
Surrounded by dogs who don´t want to be in kennels- Boycie is perhaps the only dog currently with us grateful for the kind words we tell him and the loving environment he is in each day. Knowing this boys past makes us even more determined to make his future a harm free pain less happy future. The next hand that will touch him will be one willing to love him and not harm him. Going to be rather picky where this one goes he needs GRADE A loving and attention. Boycie is micro-chipped as a American Bulldog. Quite a big chap with a past full of neglect and suffering and he has been past around more times than a stamp on a letter- poor chap. Quite obedient knows most the commands. With a dollop of understanding of the breed and a pinch of experience in bull breeds and a lot of patience to understand his troubled past and how to make his future a much brighter one Boycie will make a great addition to many household and be the envy of many passer-bys
SAMSON
--------------------------------------------
This beautiful young man at the tender age of 12 months old was found dumped in Burton and has now joined the rescue to find a home. Samson is a Dogue de Bordeaux, a large dog and perhaps has a bit of growing to do too. Understands many commands so someone must have cared for him at some stage. Loves water and enjoyed going for a swim yesterday knows what he wants, raise a bowl of food up to him and he will nudge it down for a quicker service and also pop the tap on and he will drink out of it!
MINNIE
--------------------------------------------
Due to a successful period of re-homing we have been lucky enough to be introduced to this young lady in need of a new home. This is the very tiny Chihuahua X aged two years old named MINNIE- and the name suits. Minnie is needing to find a home due to change of circumstances. Minnie is already fully vaccinated/ micro-chipped and neutered. HOME REQUIRED- a quiet calm loving environment as Minnie is quite a timid shy young lady. A loving gentle placid owner who needs a lap dog.
BRANDY
--------------------------------------------
This is Brandy our latest recruit in search of a home. Brandy is a 2 year old Mastiff x and was found in Burton. Brandy is small for a mastiff and spends her time pacing up and down the outdoor kennel whining and whimpering perhaps calling out for someone to answer her questions as to why she was dumped. There are two sides to Brandy......one is an inquisitive nosy and playful young pup who thoroughly enjoys being a wind up merchant and her other side makes me question whether all previously mentioned is just a front. Brandy doesn´t like loud noises so clearly she will not cope in kennels for long with the other dogs barking. Often Brandy cowers and crawls across the floor to you in shear submissiveness and panic as to whether she is doing the right thing. Once she establishes you are trustworthy she bounces back to the happy young lady she is. When she does become her happy self again it does make you think how forgiving dogs actually are.
PEGGY
--------------------------------------------
is our 4 year old rotti in need of a home with owners that have experience with rottis or in rescues. Peggy is a lazy docile loving individual that will head nudge and paw poke for attention but given her neglected past and only being seen as a breeding machine it is not a surprise you need time to get to know her. Once trust has been gained Peggy makes the ideal dog.....loyal caring devoted easy to manage house trained doesn´t need much exercise
WAYNE
--------------------------------------------
Anyone missing a big lump on their sofa? Anyone missing a friendly smile waking them up in the morning? Anyone wanting to take on Wayne our American Bulldog dope? After going unclaimed as a stray Wayne has joined the quest to find a home, I do think experience in the breed would help but all on his own this 2 Year is doing great! Met a variety of dogs when meeting him and he bounced over (yes bounced this dog does not run but kangaroo hop over!) and greet them with his clumsy self. I get the feeling Wayne is going to be a huge character at DRRH and I am praying he can liven up the stressed out kennels. Great dog with a huge massive clumsy dopey attitude!
